YEREVAN, October 27, /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia has registered a new ‘Shirak’ branch of Armeconombank. The Central Bank press office said to ARKA that the decision was passed by the Central Bank governor on October 21.

Armeconombank was founded in 1991. Over 75% of its shares are held by its major shareholders, the SIL Concern (53.4%) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) (25% plus 1 share).

As of September 30, the bank’s assets totaled almost 50 billion Drams, liabilities-41.4 billion Drams, the aggregate capital-8.4 billion Drams, credit investments-29.1 billion Drams. Armeconombank has 17 branches in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. M.M. -0-
