Armenian banks’ credit investments reach AMD 637.3 billion

YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. Armenian banks’ credit investments reached AMD 637.3 billion by late September after growing 4.3% or by AMD 27 billion over this month, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

The loans extended by banks in foreign currencies grew 4.4% or by AMD 14 billion in September reaching the amount equal to AMD 351.6 billion drams.

The loans extended in the national currency grew 4.2% or by AMD 13 million to AMD 313.4 billion.

Prolonged loans grew by AMD 21 million to AMD 19.8 billion and overdue loans reached AMD 10.8 billion after reducing by AMD 660 million.

As a result, the loans extended by Armenian banking systems totaled AMD 695.6 billion by late September after growing 4.3% or by AMD 29.1 billion since the beginning of this month. ($1 = AMD 386.29). –0—
