Armenian Dram/U.S. dollar exchange rate remains unchanged in August

YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. Armenian dram/U.S. dollar exchange rate remained unchanged as consumer prices rose 1.3% in Armenia in August (between August 1 and 27), National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Consumer prices climbed 5.0% as the dram gained 3.6% against the dollar in August 2010, compared with December 2009.

Consumer prices went 2.0% up and the national currency weakened by 21.1% against the dollar in August 2010, compared with the same month a year earlier.

One U.S. dollar traded at AMD 366.71 in August 2010, while one year ago it traded at 372.76 drams.
