Armenian economy expand 7.7% in 2011 January

YEREVAN, February 21, /ARKA/. Armenia’s economy expanded by 7.7% in January this year as opposed to 2009 January, according to preliminary data, released today by the country’s National Statistical Service.

The 2011 January Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was equal to 50.5% of the 2010 December GDP. In 2010 January the economic growth was 2.4%. The

inflation in 2011 January rose to 10.6% from 2010 January. The government projects that Armenia’s GDP will grow this year 4.6%. ($1 – 365.83 Drams) . -0-
