Armenian inflation in March advances 2.2 percent

YEREVAN, April 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s inflation in March advanced 2.2% if compared to the same period in 2011, according to latest numbers released by the National Statistical Service.

Consumer prices in March were said to have risen by 0.1% from the previous month, while the inflation in the first quarter was 3.3% from a year earlier. The economic activity index in March was said to have advanced by 6.6% form a year earlier and by 18.4% compared to the previous month of February.

The projected inflation rate in the budget for this year is 4% (± 1.5%), GDP projection is 4.2%. -0-
