Armenia’s total public debt down by $50.2 million in one month

YEREVAN, August 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s total public debt stood at $6.704.2 billion at the end of June 2018, having decreased by 0.74% or $50.2 million from the previous month, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

It said also the country's external debt at the end of June 2018 stood at $5.449.2 billion, down $45 million from the previous month.

About $4.879.1 billion of the external debt was owed by the government (a decline of $18 million), and the Central Bank's debt stood at $570 million (a decrease of $26.4 million).

Armenia's domestic debt at the end of June 2018 was worth the equivalent of $1.255 million, down by $5.17 million. Some $1.101.7 billion of that amount were owed to resident holders of government bonds, $144.3 million were owed to resident holders of government Eurobonds and $9 million were provided as government guarantees. -0-
