YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Armenia's national postal operator Haypost will launch its own electronic wallet.

On March 11, the Central Bank of Armenia granted Haypost CJSC permission to issue and maintain electronic money. Now, all post offices across the country are to make payments of pensions, including non-cash payments using an electronic wallet.

In order to use the service, a pensioner simply has to come to the post office with an identity document (passport or ID-card).

In this regard, Haypost CEO Hayk Karapetyan noted that the main goal is ensure the most convenient service for pensioners, who will be able to cash out their funds from an electronic wallet without commission.

Pensioners in Armenia can receive their pension both at the post office or at home (delivered by the postman). They can also have pensions to be credited to their bank cards. –0--
