YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. In connection with the International Client's Day the Union of Banks of Armenia said the number of bank customers increased by 7.5% in 2020 from the previous year to 3,251,281.

More precisely, the number of individual clients increased by 219,397 people or by 7.5% to 3,146,319 customers, while the number of legal clients - by 6,451 or by 6.5% to 104,962 clients.

During the past year, the number of customer bank accounts also increased by 333,527 or 5.6%, to 6,265,944.

In particular, individual customer accounts increased by 320,493 or 5.6% to 6,034,936 accounts, and those of legal entities - by 13,034 or 6% to 231,008 accounts.

The International Client's Day, initiated by Russian and Lithuanian entrepreneurs, was first celebrated on March 19, 2010. The purpose of this holiday is to provide an opportunity for companies and entrepreneurs to remember, congratulate and express appreciation to their customers.
