Armenia's forex reserves grow to $2,990.6 billion

YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. Armenia's foreign exchange reserves in late April 2021 stood at $2,990.6 billion, the Central Bank said today, up from $2,615.5 billion in late December, 2020.

The bulk of foreign exchange reserves were external assets worth $2,951.5 billion ($2,606.6 billion in December 2020), of which $1,680.4 billion ($1,780.5 million in December 2020) were securities and $1,271.1 billion ($826.1 million in December 2020) were cash and deposits.

The rest of the reserves were $38.9 million worth SDR. Other reserve assets were worth $0.1 million.

Other foreign currency assets, as of April 2021, stood at $12 million ($26.5 million in December 2020). In 2019, Armenia's forex reserves increased by 26.1%, or by about $590 million reaching $2.85 billion.
