YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Khachatryan and Deputy Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan participated in the Spring Meetings of IMF and World Bank Boards of Governors held on April 19-22 in Washington, United States, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Finance reported.

It said the meetings discussed the current state of the global economy, trends of the international economic situation, global challenges and ways to overcome them, the situation in the financial markets and other key issues related to global financial stability.

Tigran Khachatryan and Vahe Hovhannisyan had a series of meetings with the IMF Board Executive for Armenia, the Chief of the IMF Middle East and Central Asia Department and the Chief of the IMF Mission in Armenia.

Khachatryan also met with the WB Vice President for Europe and Central Asia and the Executive Director representing Armenia on the Board of Directors of the World Bank.

Also, a joint meeting of the WB and IMF Composite Panel on Armenia was held, as well as a meeting with the Georgian minister of finance.

As part of separate bilateral meetings with the IMF and WB high ranking officials the current involvement of Armenia in the economic processes was discussed, agreements were reached on the organization of the assistance programs and exchange of experience -0-
