Armenia’s total public debt exceeded $9.44 billion as of April 30, 2022.

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's aggregate state debt as of April 30, 2022 stood at $9,447.849 billion, up $91.314 million from March 31, 2022, and from $9,225.643 billion in late December, 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

As of April 30, 2022, the state debt calculated in AMD was 4,282,332.1 trillion, decreasing by 281.505 billion from the previous month. As of December 31, 2021, it stood at 4,429,600.0 trillion drams.

According to the National Statistics Committee, $6,534.184 billion were the government’s external debt (down $94.235 million from March 2022), while domestic debt rose by $185.549 million to $2,913.665 billion in late April.

In AMD equivalent, the external debt decreased by 271,459.5 billion as of late April 2022 to 2,961,684.4 trillion, while the domestic debt decreased by 10,045.5 billion to 1,320,647.6 trillion.

In April 2022, the government debt decreased by $107.315 million to $6,047.507 billion. In AMD equivalent, it decreased by 261,044.5 billion to 2,741,092.9 trillion, while the Central Bank's debt rose by $13.081 million to $486.678 million. In AMD equivalent the Central Bank's debt decreased by 10.415.0 billion to 220.591.6 billion.

Of the domestic debt, $2,695.812 bln (increase by $172.310 mln) were owed to resident holders of government bonds. Another $206.040 mln (increase by $12.403 mln) were owed to resident holders of government euro bonds and $11.813 mln (increase by $0.836 mln) were government-provided domestic guarantees. -0-
