YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. The share of non-performing loans in the portfolio of Armenian banks in the first half of this year fluctuated within 5-6%, Seyran Sargsyan, the Executive Director of the Union of Armenian Banks (UBA), told a news conference today.
'It's a rather variable indicator and there are no significant changes," he said.
The Chairman of the Central Bank Martin Galstyan stated at the beginning of May this year that the quality of the loan portfolio of Armenian banks improved in 2021.
According to UBA, the loan portfolio of Armenian banks in the first half of 2022 increased by 28 billion drams or 0.7%, amounting to about AMD 3.99 trillion. Compared to the first quarter of this year, the lending was down 3.1% or 127 billion drams. ($1 - 404.82 drams) -0-
