YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenian dram/Russian ruble pair trading at the Moscow Exchange reach hundreds of millions a day, Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach said in an interview with the Public Television of Armenia.

He said at the very beginning the amounts were insignificant, but after a few weeks the volumes have increased more than a thousand times.

'Hundreds of millions of transactions are made in these currencies on a daily basis," said the Deputy Minister.

According to him, it means that both Russian and Armenian businesses need liquidity in these currencies because they are used to pay for real export and import contracts or to make mutual investments.

"We are now living in such an interesting time when we have to capitalize on restrictions or challenges  to ensure that our economies grow and develop," Volvach stressed.-0-
