Armenia's overall public debts drops by $60.5 million

YEREVAN, November 8. /ARKA/. Armenia's total public debt stood at $9,931,576,000 as of September 30, 2022, having slashed by $60,540,000 from the previous month, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

On December 31, 2021, the country's total public debt was $9,225,643,000. According to the NSC, of the total public debt about $6,146,975,000 were the external debt of the government, which dropped by $141,517,000 from late August 2022, while the domestic debt in late September  2022  increased by $80,977,000 to about $3,784,600,000.

The government's external debt decreased by $134,581,000 to $5,613,341,000 as of late September 30. The debt of the Central Bank decreased by about $7million to $533,634,000.

Of the domestic debt, some $3,368,590,000 (an increase of $45.3 million) were owed to resident holders of government bonds. Some $404.6 million were owed to holders of the government's Eurobonds. Also, $11,392,000 were owed as domestic guarantees. - 0-
