YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. Four men suspected of trying to blow up an ATM in Yerevan to steal cash were detained in the town of Stepanavan while trying to leave the country, the press service of the Armenian Police reported.
According to the Police, on January 31 at around 3.35am video surveillance cameras recorded an attempt to rob an ATM on Andranik Street.
Four attackers in masks were preparing to blow up the ATM, but the policeman on duty in the bank heard voices and prevented them from implementing their plan. The would-be robbers fled, dropping their tools.
On February 4 at 9:30 p.m. the suspects, who had already packed their suitcases, were detained in Stepanavan and taken to the police. A Glock pistol loaded with nine bullets was found in the car of one of them. --0—
