YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. Customers of VTB (Armenia) bank can now receive money transfers from Russia by phone number with a halved commission - 0.5% of the transaction amount, the bank's press service reported.

It said money transfers by phone number are available from Russia to Armenia. To make a money transfer, a Russian user needs to go to the "Payments" section of VTB Online and choose the operation "To other countries".

Then specify the country "Armenia" and "By phone number", then choose the phone number of the recipient from the list of contacts, to specify the amount and confirm the transfer.

Before confirming the transaction the sender sees the amount to be transferred in AMD, as well as the commission charged. The money is instantly credited to the recipient's account.

"VTB (Armenia) is one of the leaders in cross-border operations with Russia.  In 2022 the bank accounted for 17% of all money transfers from Armenia to Russia and for 10% of money transfers from Russia to Armenia. Last year VTB (Armenia) became the first partner bank of VTB to launch money transfers from Russia to Armenia by phone number. In six months the number of such money transfers from Russia exceeded 40 thousand, and the total amount of transfers reached over 2 billion drams," said the Acting CEO of VTB (Armenia) Taras Kladchenko.

The maximum amount of a money transfer from Russia to Armenia by phone number is 50,000 rubles a day, and up to 300,000 rubles a month.
