YEREVAN, May 16. /ARKA/. The interest income earned by the Central Bank of Armenia in 2022, increased by 16.6 billion drams from the previous year to 71.3 billion drams, according to the regulator’s annual report.
The interest income from assets in foreign currencies was as follows: Nostro accounts - 8.8 billion drams, temporary deposits - 529.8 million drams, funds placed with the IMF - 112.7 million drams, investment securities assessed at amortized cost - 34.6 million drams, other assets - 52.2 million drams.
The total interest gains from foreign currency assets amounted to 9.5 million drams, up from 460 million drams in 2021.
Interest income from assets in local currency has the following structure: funds and investments in banks and other financial institutions - 60.7 billion drams, others - 1 billion drams.
The total interest income from assets in local currency amounted to 61.8 billion drams, up from 54.3 billion drams in 2021. ($1 - 387.23 drams) -0-
