Pashinyan says inflation in Armenia has stabilized somewhat

YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today that the inflation has stabilized to a certain extent.

Speaking at a parliamentary discussion on the government's budget execution in 2022, Pashinyan stressed that in the first quarter of 2023 Armenia's GDP growth amounted to 12.1% year-on-year, while in April the year-on-year economic activity reached 12.1% and the inflation dropped to 3.2%.

"We are seeing a certain stabilization of inflation.  In April, the inflation returned to the forecasted rates We hope that this dynamic will continue," he said.

Armenian governments' growth projection for 2023 is 7%, while the inflation is set at 4% (±1.5%).  ($1 – 386.52 drams. --0-
