YEREVAN, December 22. /ARKA/. The total amount of leasing contracts concluded in Armenia's agro sector in 2023 amounted to AMD 3 billion, while the active portfolio is estimated at AMD 15 billion, according to the Ministry of  Economy.

It specified that 664 units of agricultural machinery were purchased, including 193 tractors and 5 combines.

The amount of premiums colected for agricultural insurance during the reporting period amounted to 1.8 billion drams, and 2.6 billion were paid as damage compensation.

According to the  National Statistical Committee, the output in agriculture rose by 1.7% in 9 months of 2023 to AMD 619.7 billion, while forestry's  output amounted to AMD 1.8 billion (up 17.7%) and that of fisheries – to AMD 37.4 billion (down 0.8%). ($1 - AMD 405.62) -0-
