YEREVAN, 26 July. /ARKA/. All 18 Armenia-based commercial banks are in the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers for January-June 2024, having paid 82.5 billion drams in various taxes, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
It said 81.6 billion drams of that amount were collected by tax authorities and 953.5 million drams by customs bodies.
According to SRC, 49.1 billion drams were collected as profit tax, 26.3 billion drams as income tax, 2.6 billion drams as VAT and 4.8 billion drams as other taxes and duties.
The top five banks in the first half of the year by size of paid taxes are Ameriabank - AMD 17.5 billion (6th place in the list of one thousand taxpayers), Acba Bank - AMD 8.7 billion (13th place), Inecobank - AMD 8.2 billion (15th place), Ardshinbank - AMD 5.9 billion (21st place) and Unibank - AMD 5.5 billion (24th place).
Conversebank paid 5.3 billion drams (27th place), IDBank - 4.3 billion drams (31st place), HSBC Bank Armenia - 3.9 billion drams (35th place), Araratbank - 3.7 billion drams (40th place), Evocabank - AMD 3.6 billion (42nd place), VTB Bank (Armenia) - AMD 3.4 billion (46th place), Armeconombank - AMD 3.2 billion (47th place), Fast Bank - AMD 2.8 billion (56th place) and AMIO BANK - AMD 2.3 billion (73rd place).
ArmSwissbank paid 1.6 billion drams (103rd place), Mellat Bank - 1.3 billion drams (126th place), the central branch of Artsakhbank - 923.1 million drams (166th place) and Byblos Bank Armenia - 574.8 million drams (271st place).
The total amount of taxes paid by the Central Bank of Armenia is AMD 1 bln. ($1 - 387.89 drams).
