YEREVAN, 5 August. /ARKA/. Inflation in Armenia's consumer market in July this year compared to July last year was 1.4 per cent, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.
At the same time, deflation of 0.4 per cent was recorded in July compared to June, according to the NSC.
The state budget for 2024 sets inflation at 4 per cent (±1.5 per cent). According to the Central Bank's Monetary Policy Report for the second quarter of this year, by the end of 2024 inflation in Armenia is expected to be within 0.9-1.3%, while the forecast for 2025 is 3.8-3.2%.
The WB expects inflation in Armenia to be 3 per cent in 2024, 3.5 per cent in 2025 and 4 per cent in 2026.
The IMF forecast is 3.1 per cent in 2024 and 3.7 per cent in 2025. The ADB forecasts inflation at 3 per cent in 2024 and 3.5 per cent in 2025 under monetary easing. EDB expects inflation in Armenia at 1.5 per cent by the end of this year. -0-
