YEREVAN, 12 September. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday approved a loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, WB structure) on the implementation of a universal health coverage programme.

The agreement was signed on 25 July 2024 between the Republic of Armenia and IBRD.

The loan programme worth 102 million euros is aimed at assisting the Ministry of Health in implementing comprehensive health insurance, improving the quality and delivery of primary health care, increasing the efficiency of the country's health expenditures and reducing financial barriers to the provision of health services to the population.-0-
