YEREVAN, September 18 /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia calls on people to refrain from providing personal information to unknown persons.
It said it has obtained information showing an increase in attempts by fraudsters to obtain personal and banking data.
In particular, fraudsters contact citizens through fake phone calls and various correspondence, posing as employees of financial institutions, send links and force them to follow them, fill in the necessary personal/bank data.This way, they gain access to citizens’ financial resources.
The Central Bank calls on citizens to be vigilant and not to provide any personal banking information to anyone under no circumstances, not to follow unknown and suspicious links, not to activate unknown and unexpected confirmation codes received. -0-
