Acba Bank announced public placement of coupon non-documentary bonds with a total volume of 15 million US dollars and 5 billion Armenian drams (AMD), the bank’s press service reports.

Net non-commercial money transfers contracted 18.6 percent (yoy) in August, according to World Bank’s Armenia monthly economic update – October 2024.

The average market exchange rate of the US dollar to the Armenian dram on 21 October 2024 was 387.16 drams, down 0.09 points compared to 18 October.

The loan portfolio of the Armenian banking system, net of reserves, increased by 14.5% or 382.4 billion drams over the first 9 months and amounted to 5,758.4 billion drams as of September 30, 2024. Based on the data received, “ARKA’’ news agency publishes a ranking of Armenian banks by the size of their loan portfolio. 

The net profit of the Armenian banking system for January-September 2024 surpassed 267.6 billion drams, marking a 25% increase compared to the same period last year. This is evidenced by data from the reports of Armenian banks published in accordance with international IFRS standards. Of the total profit earned in the first nine months of this year, 95.5 billion drams, or 36%, was generated in the third quarter, which is 7.3% higher than the figure for the second quarter.
