Armenian commercial banks paid 102.8 billion drams in taxes over first 9 months

YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. All 18 Armenia-based commercial banks have been included in the list of the 1,000 largest corporate taxpayers for January-September 2024, having paid a total of 102 billion drams in various taxes, according to the State Revenue Committee.

Tax authorities collected approximately 101.5 billion drams, while customs authorities - 1.3 billion drams.

According to the State Revenue Committee, the banks paid 56.3 billion drams in profit taxes, 26.4 billion in income taxes, 3 billion drams as VAT and another 7.1 billion as other taxes and duties.
The top five banks in terms of tax payments include Ameriabank - 20.4 billion drams (6th place), ACBA Bank - 10.9 billion drams (17th place), Inecobank - 9.5 billion drams (19th place), Ardshinbank - 8.1 billion drams (24th place), Unibank - 6.7 billion drams (27th place).

The list of top 100 taxpayers includes also Conversebank - 6.5 billion drams (28th place), IDBank - 5.3 billion drams (39th place), Araratbank - 5 billion drams (42nd place), Evocabank - 4.7 billion drams (46th place), VTB Bank (Armenia) - 4.4 billion drams (51st place), HSBC Bank Armenia - 4.3 billion drams (52nd place), Armeconombank - 4.2 billion drams (54th place), Fast Bank - 3.42 billion drams (67th place), AMIO Bank- 3.41 billion drams (68th place).

The remaining four banks occupy the following positions: ArmSwissBank - 2.3 billion drams (108th place), Mellat Bank - 1.4 billion drams (166th place), Artsakhbank - 1.2 billion drams (192nd place) and Byblos Bank Armenia - 822.3 million drams (289th place). The Central Bank of Armenia paid a total of 1.6 billion drams in taxes.

According to official data, the 1,000 largest taxpayers paid more than 1.3 trillion drams in taxes. The Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine tops the list with 83.7 billion drams taxes, followed by Mobile Center Art with 49.1 billion drams and Grand Tobacco with 39.8 billion drams.
