License for Banking Activities No. 64 issued on 31.10.1996 by the RA Central Bank Board.
The Bank was founded in 1923. Up to June 20, 2006 the Bank operated under the name "Savings Bank of the Republic of Armenia." In March 2004. RF Vneshtorgbank acquired significant part of the Bank shares. In 2006 VTB Group banks decided to operate under the same trademark, and on July 26, 2007 VTB acquired 30% less one share from "Mika Armenia Trading" LTD company and became the sole shareholder of 100% shares of its subsidiary in Armenia,"VTB Bank (Armenia)" CJSC.
The Bank`s shareholder is "VTB Bank" OJSC.
On October 26, 2007 Fitch Rating international rating agency granted BB` rating (with stable forecast) to "VTB Bank (Armenia)" CJSC.
The Bank is a full member of Visa International card payment and settlement system.
The Bank is a shareholder of "Hayincassatsia" CJSC.
The dense branch network enables the customers to use diverse services of the Bank at their places of residence, such as provision of various types of loans, international transfers through SWIFT, Interexpress, Anelik, Bistraya Pochta systems, and acceptance of public utility charges.
