Ex-speaker of Armenian parliament elected to board of directors of Russian bank

YEREVAN, July 7. / ARKA /. Ex-speaker of the Armenian parliament, former secretary of the National Security Council, Arthur Baghdasaryan, who is also chairman of parliament-represented Orinats Yerkir (Country of Law) party, was elected as a member of the board of directors of MTS Bank, one of the largest Russian banks.

Baghdasaryan was elected at a general meeting of the bank’s shareholders on June 29. The board is composed of ten members.

MTS Bank (Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development) is a large universal bank in Russia, a subsidiary of OAO AFK Sistema. The bank’s operations are in Moscow and the Moscow region.
