Armenia’s commercial banks purchase over $88.8mln last week

YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $88.8mln at a weighted average rate of 409.22 drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market from July 29 to August 2, the Central Bank reported.

At the same time, the banks obtained about 6.3mln euros and over 848.7 mln rubles at weighted average exchange rates of 541.61 drams per €1 and 12.36 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, the banks sold about $102 mln, about €10.8mln and nearly 118.2mln rubles at weighted average exchange rates of 410.50, 545.30 and 12.53 drams respectively.

Average rate on individual savings deposits rises by 0.3 percentage points to 9.0%
