YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. The Car Insurers Bureau of Armenia said beginning from March 4, motorists who get into road accidents will be allowed to themselves fill in all the papers necessary for filing damage claims worth up to 50,000 drams.

"If as a result of a road accident the property damage claim of the not guilty party does not exceed 50,000 drams (about $100), the involved parties are allowed to themselves fill in the declaration for property damage claim without having to contact their insurance companies and the police. The new procedure is aimed at facilitating and speeding up the reimbursement on part of the insurance company’, the Car Insurers Bureau said in a statement.

The new reconciled declaration and instructions how to fill it in are available on the official website of the Bureau. The Bureau also advises motorists to have several copies of the declaration in their cars.
Also from March 4, car owners will be required to mention in mandatory car insurance contracts their e-mail address to receive all relating notices.
