YEREVAN, September 20. / ARKA /. Doubtful loans of Armenian commercial banks amounted to 15.1 billion drams in the first half of the year, having increased by 38 percent when compared with the same period last year, according to the Bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for the second quarter.

It says standard credit investments of the banks in the reporting period amounted to 1.618.3 trillion drams, making 94% of total credit portfolios of all Armenian banks, a 9.3 percent rise from the first half of last year. Controlled credit investments totaled 63.2 billion drams (up 97.6%), and non-standard loans declined by 1.9 percent to 22.6 billion drams.

As of June 30, 2013 the total outstanding lending of the banks stood at 1.719.5 trillion drams, an 11 percent year-on-year rise ($ 1 - 407.49 drams). -0-
