Armenia’s public debt drops by $19.6 million in April 2018

YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA / Armenia’s overall public debt at the end of April 2018 stood at $6.867.46 billion, having decreased by 0.28% or $19.6 million from the previous month, the National Statistical Committee reported.

It said the external public debt stood at $5.533.9 billion, a decrease of $ 40.8 million month-on-month.
Of that amount about $4.927.8 billion were owed by the Armenian government (down $35.9 million m/m), while the Central Bank's debt was worth $606 million (down $4.8 million).

Armenia's domestic debt at the end of April 2018 was worth $1.333.5 billion, an increase of $21.1 million. About $1.173.2 million were owed to resident holders of government bonds, also $151.32 million were owed to holders of government bonds in foreign currency and $9 million were owed as government domestic guarantees. -0-
