Armenia’s international gross reserves grow by 10% to 1.7 billion

YEREVAN, August 13. / ARKA /. Armenia’s international gross reserves in July 2015 were 10.1% higher from the previous month standing at $1.702.5 billion, the Central Bank said today.

It said external assets in freely convertible currency in July 2015 were worth $1.701.6 billion, while Special Drawing Rights (SDR) at  the IMF  stood at $1 million.

In 2014 Armenia’s international gross reserves slashed by 33.8% or $762.3 million to $1.489.3 billion against the backdrop of a dramatic fall in the national currency’s value against USD. The reduction continued into 2015 as well. Thus, in February Armenia's international reserves fell to $1.260.9 billion. M.V.-0-
