The Majority Of Banks And Credit Organizations In Armenia Forecast Inflation By 5.5- 8.5% In The Next 12 Months

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks and credit organizations forecast that with probability of 57.2% and 60.7% respectively inflation in Armenia will make 5.5- 8.5% in the next 12 months, states the “Report on the performance of monetary-credit policy in the third quarter of 2011”.
According to the report, actual tendencies of reduction of 12-month inflation indicator in the last two quarters mainly corresponded to the directions of inflation behavior defined by the Central Bank of Armenia.
Thus, the financial system has responded to it by facilitation of some of high inflation expectations, due to which some Armenian banks have improved their expectations and with probability of 42.8% (instead of forecasted in the last quarter 23.8%) expect 12-month inflation on the level of 2.5-5.5%.
