YEREVAN, March 9. /ARKA/. The number of commercial banks’ ATMs in Armenia’s territory reached 1,387 by late 2014 after growing by 30 over the fourth quarter, the Central Bank of Armenia says in its regular quarterly bulletin.
The number of POS terminals in the country contracted by 52 over the quarter to 6,954 by late 2014.
According to the regulator, only 19 of the country’s 21 commercial banks provided plastic cards and their servicing in late 2014. All these 19 banks are members of the Armenian Card payment system. --0--
