We need to restore Armenia’s manufacturing sector (video)

YEREVAN, September 7, /ARKA/. Senior Lieutenant Vardan, who was seriously wounded during the 44-day war last autumn in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, promises to start walking again. The soldiers under his command hit the enemy’s heavy flamethrower system, but Vardan was wounded by an UAV.
After being wounded, Vartan had rehabilitation treatment at the Soldier's House. Now the treatment continues with Armenian-made walker.
"Devices improve the quality of our life and speed up treatment," says Vardan Vardanyan. The walker, manufactured by Kayltech company, helps disabled people restore their walking function, preventing them from acquiring more than 30 diseases, which develop in parallel with disability.
Davit Arsenyan, co-founder of Kayltech, is a kinesiologist. After the four-day war in 2016, he worked with friends to help rehabilitate the wounded boys. Then they decided to start a company that would manufacture devices to enable the wounded boys to continue treatment at home.
"Since we can not keep everyone in rehabilitation centers all year round, the idea arose to create devices which they can use to train on their own," says Davit Arsenyan.
Davit and Vardan test the power and the strength of the electric wheelchair connector. The electrical connector is made in Armenia. It is connected to the wheelchair that becomes a self-propelled device. This is how different problems are solved.
Currently, there are many disabled servicemen with mobility problems in the country, who need electric walkers to train. Kayltech with the support of its partner Acba bank will prepare and provide them with Armenian-made connectors.
"During the cooperation with Acba, we have already produced several connectors. The bank is a partner, which provided us with financing and helps us deliver our products to the disabled," says Davit Arsenyan.
Soon the first Armenian-made scooter manufactured by Kayltech will go on sale. The raised money will be channeled into the preparation of rehabilitation equipment for disabled servicemen.
Kayltech engineers decided also to design an electric car. Davit is sure that Armenia has a great productive potential, which must be used properly. Armenia should be positioned on the world map as a technological country.
Kayltech’s strength is in its dedicated team who work for one goal and result.
