Armenian citizens’ bills for online purchases grew by 25% in 2016

YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. Armenian users’ bills for online purchases in 2016 surged by 25% from the previous year, while the number of payments increased by almost 50%, according to a study by Yandex. Money.

However, the average bill of an Armenian online buyer decreased from 3,342 drams to 2,820 drams (at the rate of the Central Bank of Russia on 01.31.2017). Over the twelve months, each user paid on average for 9 online purchases worth 25,334 drams - about 15% less than in 2015.

In 2016, the bulk of purchases were made by residents of Yerevan, Gyumri, Hrazdan and Abovyan. Compared with 2015 the number of payments for online purchases in Hrazdan and Abovyan grew by 150%, while in Gyumri they decreased by more than 15%.
