YEREVAN, June 8. /ARKA/. Consumer prices index rose by 5.1% in Armenia in May 2015 compared to May 2014, the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported.

Food price index (including for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products) was 104.7% in May 2015 against the same month of the year before; the price index was 106.8% for nonfoods and 103.9% for services, according to the report.

According to NSS, Armenia’s consumer prices rose by 5% this May against the same month of 2014, mainly due to 5.6% rise in prices for foods. Service and nonfood prices rose by 5.4% and 3.6% respectively.
