Aggregate sum insured in Armenian insurance companies exceeds 7 trln drams in Q3 2012

YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. Aggregate Sum Insured in Armenian insurance companies exceeded 7 trln drams in the third quarter of 2012, chairman of the Association of Insurance Market Participants Andranik Ohanjanyan told a press conference Monday.

Armenian insurance market has changed a lot since November 19, 1996, when the country’s law about insurance was passed.

Aggregate sum insured was more than 7 trln drams in the third quarter of 2012, as compared to about 60bln drams in 1997, he said. Insurance bonuses were about 24bln drams in the second quarter of 2012 against 431.4mln drams in 1997.
