Armenia works on bringing Pay Pal to the country- Deputy Minister

YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. Armenia is working on bringing Pay Pal to the country, Deputy Minister of Economy Narek Teryan said on Monday.

"We are negotiating with our colleagues from the USA; just last week this issue was raised in bilateral talks. Armenia is a rather small market for Pay Pal, and the slowness in solving this issue is related to this," Teryan said in a live broadcast of the Armenian Business Portal Telegram channel.

At the same time he assured that the issue remains on the agenda of the Armenian authorities. "We are working on it, we understand that it is necessary for our entrepreneurs," Teryan said.

PayPal is the largest debit electronic payment system, which allows customers to pay bills and purchases, send and receive money transfers.

In Armenia this service works only for payments and money transfers; negotiations on its full use  have been underway for several years. --0—
