Armenian banks buy $52.5 million and sell $60.5 million in one week

YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. A total of $52.5 million were bought at Armenia’s intrabankk forex market in a time span between April 30 and May 7 at an average weighted exchange rate of 384.63 Drams per $1, the Central Bank of Armenia reported. It said also a total of $60. 5 million were sold in the same time span at 386.16 Drams per $1.

The total amount of deals effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia exchange stock in the same week was worth $10.2 million at an average weighted exchange rate of 387.43 Drams per $1.

In the same week $350,000 worth deals were effected at inter-bank forex market at 384.71 Drams per $1. Besides, Armenian commercial banks extended 16.2 billion Drams worth credits on April 26-May 2. The amount of credits issued in USD was worth $35.2 million.($1 – 387.71 Drams).  -0-
