YEREVAN, November 5, /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $63.7 million at the local forex market November 1-5 at an average weighted exchange rate of 358.34 Drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported. It said in the same time span the banks sold a total of $77.4 million at an average weighted exchange rate of 359.52 Drams per one USD.

A total of $4.25 million worth deals were effected in USD at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange in the same time span. The banks also bought and sold $600,000 at inter-bank market at an average exchange rate of 360.08 Drams per one USD.

Besides, on October 25-November 1 the banks extended 20.1 billion Drams worth credits in Armenian Drams and $60.5 million worth credits in USD. ($1 – 360.84 Drams).  -0-
