YEREVAN, October 31. / ARKA /. Six Armenian insurance companies were among the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the third quarter of 2014, paying a total of 1.6 billion drams in various taxes, the State Revenue Committee said today. It said also 97.5% of the paid taxes or 1.57 billion drams were direct taxes.

The leading company by size of paid taxes was Rosgosstrakh Armenia (426.2 million drams). It was followed by Reso (399.9 million drams), Ingo-Armenia (289.6 million drams), Nairi Insurance (262.3 million drams), Sil Insurance (132.5 million drams), and Armenia Insurance (101.2 million drams).

Overall, the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid more than 504.2 billion drams in taxes, up from 479.9 billion drams paid in January-September 2013 (an increase of 5%). About 317.5 billion drams were collected by tax authorities, and about 186.7 billion drams by customs authorities.
