Gyumri Hosts Exhibition About Armenian Currency And Money Turnover

YEREVAN, October 12, /ARKA/. Armenia’s Central Bank has opened an exhibition in Armenia’s second largest town of Gyumri dedicated to Armenia’s national currency and money turnover’s history. A pres release by the bank said the exhibition will run through October 21.
The opening ceremony was attended Ashot Mkrtchian, a Central Bank board member, who said the goal is to give residents of the town an opportunity to learn about Armenia’s national currency, the dram, the history of money turnover and the performance of the Central Bank.
The press release said local authorities have promised to organize visits of school students to the exhibition. Similar exhibitions were already held in several Armenian regions and in Nagorno-Karabakh. -0-
