Armenia’s industrial output in Jan.-July grows by 14.1% to 434.5 billion drams

YEREVAN, September 2, /ARKA/. Armenia’s industrial output in Jan.-July 2010 grew by 14.1% year-on-year to 434.5 billion Drams (in current prices), the National Statistical Service reported. Industrial sales amounted to 434.5 billion Drams. A total of 279.9 billion Drams worth output was sold to CIS counties. Sales to other countries amounted to 124 billion Drams.

Mining industry output in the reporting period of time grew by 34.2% from a year before to 80 billion Drams. The processing industry posted a 10.2% growth. It rose to 27.67 billion Drams; chemical industry output jumped by 39% to 5 billion Drams, production and distribution of electrical power, gas and water dropped by 2.8% to 67.8 billion Drams.  -0-
