YEREVAN, November 8, /ARKA/. The Syunik marz (province) in Armenia is now on the global map of the international Impact Hub network created to support startup ideas.

A branch of Impact Hub established in Goris with the joint financial support from the Acba Federation and the European Union will help develop social entrepreneurship in the region.

The network of about 100 Impact Hubs operating in 65 countries of the world has a total of 24,000 members. Now the whole world can learn about the business ideas born and developed in Syunik Impact Hub.

The Acba Federation has been supporting the Yerevan branch of Impact Hub for several years already. During this period, many ideas aimed at the development of small and medium businesses in the communities have been implemented. The idea of ​​bringing the Impact Hub platform to Syunik region belongs to Acba Federation.

"It is very important for us that young people do not leave their communities, stay in their villages, in their surroundings, and by staying in their communities, develop their ideas, make their community stronger," said  Acba Federation Director General Harutyun Poghosyan.

"We started this project a year ago. The idea to help and develop startups in Goris excited us. It is very important that the Acba Federation also finances this project and supports the best ideas," said Frank Hess, Minister-Counselor at the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, Head of the Cooperation Department.

"When we started implementing the project, we realized that we want to make it long-lasting by being right here and opening Impact Hub Syunik. Acba Federation stood by us and said that it was ready to help open and operate the Syunik branch,' said Gevorg Poghosyan, Executive Director of Impact Hub Yerevan.

The Syunik Impact Hub has no industry restrictions, if necessary, those with new ideas can establish contact with already experienced ones, listen to lectures and be able to properly organize their business future.

The Syunik Impact Hub can become a serious stimulus in concentrating, guiding and implementing the initiatives of the young people  of Syunik region.

The Acba Federation holds about 83 percent of the Acba bank's shares and thanks to this, it contributes to the development of agriculture, small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas, development of communities, revitalization and development of the business environment in rural areas and communities, and the growth of the well-being of every person carrying out business activities in the mentioned areas.
