Armenia considers membership in Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. An Armenian delegation led by Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan left for China on October 17 to participate in the third Belt and Road Forum, the ministry's press service reported.

It said in China  Kerobyan had a meeting  today with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Vice President and Corporate Secretary Ludger Schuknecht.

During the meeting, the sides discussed Armenia's possible membership in AIIB. Schuknecht expressed readiness to assist Armenia in this issue.

AIIB, as a multilateral development bank is focused on developing Asia but with members from around the world, channels its investments in infrastructure and other productive sectors to promote sustainable economic development, wealth creation and improved infrastructure development. -0-
