YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's overall state debt as of April 30, 2023 stood at over $10.9 billion, having increased by over $73.8 million from March, 2023, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
In late December 2022 the country's overall state debt was worth over $10.6 billion.
According to the National Statistics Committee, in late April 2023 the country's foreign debt stood at over $6.4 billion, an increase of $34.975 million from the previous month, while the domestic debt increased by almost $39 million to over $4.5 billion.
The government’s external debt rose by $29.908 million to over $5.8 billion. Central Bank's debt rose by $5.066 million to over $566.4 million.
Of domestic debt over $3.9 billion were owed to resident holders of government bonds in drams. Another $540 million were owed to resident holders of government euro bonds and $21.623 million were owed as government guarantees. -0-
