YEREVAN, September 9. / ARKA /. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $72.5 million at the local foreign exchange market in a time span from September 2 to 9 at an average exchange rate of

370.09 drams per one US Dollar, the Central Bank of Armenia said to ARKA. It said in the same time span they sold a total of $78.9 million at an average exchange rate of 371.43 drams per one US Dollar.

The aggregate amount of transactions in USD effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange on September 2-9 totaled $5.7 million at an average exchange rate of 372.27 drams per one US Dollar.

The volume of transactions concluded at inter-bank forex market in the same time span totaled $590,000. The average exchange rate was 372.41 drams per one US Dollar.

Besides, from August 29 to September 4 Armenian commercial banks provided 26.1 billion drams worth loans in Armenia’s national currency and $38.3 million loans in US Dollar. ($1 – 372.87 drams).-0-
