YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased more than $80.2mln at a weighted average rate of 405.43drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on January 21-25, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 9.5mln euros and over 528mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 540.82drams per €1 and 13.29drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, about $96mln, about €11.1mln and about 80.3mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 406.47drams, 542.81drams and 13.49drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week totalled 30bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $41.3mln. ($1=406.29drams). –0–
