YEREVAN, February 2. /АРКА/. About 50% of respondents surveyed on www.armbanks.am are sceptical about the government’s bailout plan.

In its plan, the government has put a special emphasis on financing those projects aimed at development of import-replacing areas by using instruments, such as government guarantees to private enterprises, direct lending, a direct participation of the government in companies’ capital and subsidies.

The survey shows that 42% of respondents or 58 people are convinced the government’s program is not able to remedy the situation, while 37% or 51 people thinks otherwise.

Twenty one percent refrained from answering the question because they had no idea about content of the governmental program.

Some 137 people have answered the question over the period between October 6, 2009, and February 1, 2010.
